Goal # 7 – Safe Schools/Healthy Students Program Sustainability

Objective 7.1

Develop a community infrastructure to implement research-based strategies for sustainability.

Performance Indicators:

7.1.1        By June 2008, a community-wide plan will be developed indicating how services developed or expanded through the grant period could be continued. Element 7 Outcome Indicator

7.1.2        By June 2007, all eight community partners and ten grant contractors will have been trained on the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets. Element 7 Process Indicator

7.1.3        By June 2008, a sustainability plan will be developed to ensure continuation of services after the grant period. Element 7 Outcome Indicator

Strategies/Interventions to Achieve Goal # 7 [Element 7]:

• Offer training sessions for all community grant partner representatives, interested grant contractors, and other community residents on the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets.
• Appoint a committee representative of all 8 community partners, community residents, and grant contractors, to develop a plan for services continuation after the grant period.
• Introduce the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets to all grant partners.
• Ensure coordination, resources mobilization, and integration of comprehensive services across the community partners.
